SEND Teaching Assistant job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across both mainstream classes and within our autism Alternative Resource Provision (ARP).

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support children within our mainstream classroom and our autism ARP. This role is on a fixed term basis up to July 2026 and is for 27.5 hours per week.

The staff and governors at St Swithun’s are looking for applicants who will work tirelessly to build children’s self-confidence and inspire them in order that they reach their full potential.

Our school is fully committed to keeping our children safe; therefore applicants will be subject to a DBS check, stringent vetting and induction processes including references being sought prior to interview. Online checks will also take place for all shortlisted candidates. The role will commence as soon as recruitment checks have been completed.
