POST: Employer Engagement Officer
SALARY:SP9 - SP13 £25,979 to £28,770 FTE, Actual salary £9018 to £9987
LOCATION: Sunrise Academy, Carlton Colville, Lowestoft
WORKING ARRANGEMENTS: Permanent Contract - 15 hours per week / 39 weeks per year.
The Role
Due to an internal promotion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Employer Engagement Officer to join the SENDAT Central Team.
Lead the Trust’s work with the community and employers.
Lead arrangements (interviews, risk assessments, administration) of work experience across the Trust.
Maintain records of assessment, collect appropriate data, maintain pupil’s individual education plans, risk assessments and behaviour support plans as required by the school.
To improve outcomes for students with SEND in mainstream work settings
To ensure that SENDAT’s aims and objectives are implemented in accordance with the policies of the Trust and national and local education strategy.

Sunrise joined SENDAT Trust on 1st April 2022. It was previously called The Everitt Academy. It caters for up to 52 young people with a full EHCP for SEMH in Key Stages 3 and 4.
We are working with the LA to consider taking some Key Stage 2 students in the future.
As at Trust we are committed to trauma informed practice across all our schools and in all policies we work to. We have trained over 30 Level 5 practitioners and have an ongoing commitment to this. To support this work we have developed out TIS umbrella, which aims to show approaches and programmes that we use across the Trust under our overall TIS approach.
