We are seeking a passionate and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENDCo) to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs, ensuring they receive the support and opportunities they deserve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the provision for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

  • Advise and support teachers and staff in meeting the diverse needs of all pupils.

  • Develop, implement, and review SEND policies and practices across the school.

  • Work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure holistic support.

  • Monitor and track the progress of SEND pupils, preparing reports for leadership and governing bodies.

  • Ensure statutory requirements for SEND provision are met.

Person Specification:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) with recent teaching experience.

  • SENCo qualification (or willingness to work towards it) is essential.

  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and frameworks, including the Code of Practice.

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.

  • Commitment to inclusion and raising outcomes for all learners.
