SENDCO Assistant - Whitley Park Primary and Nursery School job summary

Permanent, term time only 31.25 hours per week Do you have a passion for supporting children with special educational needs? Do you want to work as part of an experienced and committed team? Do you want to make a real difference? Whitley Park Primary and Nursery School may be exactly what you’re looking for! As a school, we are completely dedicated to providing a holistic approach to learning with a team of highly motivated and caring education professionals who want nothing but the best for each and every child. OFSTED (April 2018) reported that the ‘school is a very caring and inclusive community. Leaders rightly pride themselves on ensuring that pupils are well supported and ready to learn. All staff work hard to support pupils’ personal development. This is a new post and reflects the importance we place on being an inclusive school. We are looking for a person with the skills, knowledge and values to work with the SENCO and inclusion team to better meet the needs of our fantastic children. Our children know exactly what they are looking for: “Someone who listens and includes us all” “Someone who doesn’t mind mistakes because that’s how we learn” “Someone who tells us what we need to do next in order to improve” “Someone who makes learning fun” At Whitley Park we don’t just teach, we enable our children to learn the skills to become independent lifelong learners, enabling them to flourish and enjoy success in a world full of opportunities. If you are interested in the role we would love to hear from you.
