Attleborough Primary is looking for a qualified SENCO to join our committed, friendly and supportive team for three days a week. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that every child receives the support they need to achieve their full potential. They will take responsibility for the strategic and operational provision for pupils with SEND. 

This is very exciting opportunity to join Attleborough Primary School as we have recently joined Sapientia Education Trust, an expanding multi-academy Trust with 13 Primary and 9 Secondary schools. 

You will:

  • Lead and manage the school’s SEND provision in line with the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Identify and assess pupils with additional needs and coordinate appropriate interventions.
  • Work closely with class teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure inclusive, high-quality teaching.
  • Liaise with external agencies, including educational psychologists, speech and language therapists, and the local authority.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date SEND records, including EHCPs and provision maps.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of SEND provision across the school.
  • Be a qualified teacher and hold the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or NPQ for SENDCoS.

Have a proven track record of improving outcomes for pupils with SEND.

Be a passionate, reflective practitioner with excellent communication and leadership skills.
