SENDCO job summary

Bude Primary Academy- Infants has an exciting opportunity for an experienced SENDCo to join the team in September. This role is for two days a week (specific days negotiable) and is fixed term for one year.

Bude Infants is a two form-entry EYFS and KS1 school. Currently, there is one SENDCo for the Infants and Juniors which also includes an ARB. In order to provide more focused support for the Infants, a dedicated two-day post is being created. The successful candidate will work closely with the Juniors’ SENDCo and have the support of a full-time HLTA Asst SENDCo.

SENDCos in Aspire benefit from a thriving network across the 28 schools in the Trust as well as support from the Inclusion Team and regular CPD.

We are looking for a strong classroom practitioner with SENDCo experience who can model best practice in inclusive classroom teaching as well as work with the SLT and Asst SENDCo to develop the individual provision for children with significant special educational needs.

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
