SENDCo job summary

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and highly skilled teacher to be one of two SENDCo’s at our school.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about teaching, is creative and hard working with excellent

communication, organizational and computer skills. This is a full time SENDCo role and there is no class

responsibility attached.

Candidates must have a SENCO qualification, or have an aspiration to achieve the NPQ for SENCOs when

* has the ability to work as part of a dynamic team

* has an excellent understanding of how children with SEND learn

* is able to identify and share the most effective teaching approaches for pupils with SEND

* can adeptly apply for EHCPs and other funding streams

* understands parent/carer concerns and can work build trusting professional relationships with families

* can work with outside agencies to support children and staff
