SENDCO job summary

We
are seeking to appoint an experienced, passionate and enthusiastic Special
Educational Needs Co-ordinator.  The SENCo will be responsible
for high quality teaching and learning strategies for students with special
educational requirements that meet both individual and collective needs, to
ensure high levels of achievement and progress. The successful candidate will
demonstrate a track record of helping pupils to be the best they can be and
will demonstrate an excellent understanding of current thinking in SEND
education.

The successful candidate will be:


  • Committed to securing positive outcomes for all students with
    SEND.

  • Experienced, well qualified and highly motivated, having already
    achieved or be willing to achieve the NASENCO qualification.

  • Leading a hard-working and highly motivated department to the next
    stage of its development.

  • Able to demonstrate high professional standards with the highest
    expectations of what our SEND students can achieve.
