What skills and experience we're looking for

Governors are seeking to appoint an approachable, compassionate, empathetic and forward‑thinking SENDCo to join our Greswold family. The successful candidate will work alongside our established, full‑time SENDCo, under the direction of the Headteachers and Inclusion Lead/Deputy Headteacher, and as part of a proactive inclusion team.

This role would be particularly well suited to:

  • An aspiring SENDCo seeking to further develop SEND leadership experience

  • A teacher with specialist provision experience keen to apply their expertise within a highly inclusive mainstream setting

  • An experienced SENDCo looking to work within a collaborative team structure

You will contribute to the strategic development and delivery of SEND provision across the school, with a particular focus on Years 4-6,and work closely with our Inclusion Teachers, as well as a skilled team of teachers and learning support assistants. The role is non‑class based, with an initial 0.3 FTE commitment delivering PPA cover across the school (equivalent to three afternoons per week), providing opportunities to work across all phases while promoting high‑quality inclusive practice.

The successful applicant will be paid on the Main Pay Scale M1–M6 (£32,916–£42,352). Upper Pay Scale and a TLR allowance will be considered for the right candidate; please note that the school does not recognise pay portability. This post is not suitable for an ECT/NQT.
