SENDCO job summary

We are seeking an exceptional leader to join Kings Norton Girls’ School and Sixth Form (KNGS) as our SENDCO. KNGS is an OFSTED outstanding school and is part of the West Midlands Multi Academy Trust, has a comprehensive intake and a co-educational sixth form. We are proud of our vibrant, socially and culturally diverse school, which lies in the heart of our community, and is highly regarded in our local area and beyond.

The post is available from September on a full time, permanent contract. The vacancy has arisen due to the internal promotion of the current postholder. We are seeking an exceptional SENDCO to join our extended leadership team. The successful candidate will play a central role in the school wide inclusion strategy, and will:

  • Coordinate strategic SEND provision across all key stages.
  • Support the leadership team to embed inclusion throughout all aspects of school life.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, families and external agencies.
  • Support staff to meet the needs of all learners through excellent curriculum and teaching provision and pastoral care.
