  • Has a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and current SEND legislation.
  • Is an excellent classroom practitioner with the ability to model high-quality inclusive teaching.
  • Can lead, inspire and support colleagues to deliver effective provision for all learners.
  • Has experience of working with a wide range of SEND needs and supporting staff to meet those needs.
  • Builds positive relationships with pupils, parents, staff and external professionals.
  • Has high expectations for achievement, behaviour and attendance.
  • Is willing and able to undertake a teaching commitment of approximately one day per week as part of the SENDCo role.
  • Is organised, resilient and committed to continual school improvement.
We can offer:
  • Enthusiastic, friendly and well-behaved children who enjoy learning.
  • A welcoming and supportive staff team.
  • A strong culture of inclusion and collaboration.
  • Opportunities for professional development and leadership growth through DSAT.
  • Access to a supportive network of SEND professionals across the Trust.
  • A school community that values every child and member of staff.
  • Well-established SEND provision, including our Resource Base facilities.
  • A caring Christian ethos where all members of the community are encouraged to flourish.
