What skills and experience we're looking for

Humberstone Junior Academy is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced, highly self-motivated and positive minded SENDCo, to join our team.

The SENDCo, in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team, will play a key role in determining the strategic development of the SEND policy and provision in the school, to raise achievement of children with SEND, taking day to day responsibility for the operation of the SEND and any related policies. The post holder will assist the Senior Leadership Team in delivering the vision and direction of the Trust, setting high expectations and modelling professional conduct. They will undertake a lead role in maintaining high standards of pupil’s behaviour and discipline within the framework of the school policy and supporting other staff as necessary. The post holder will work closely with the Infant School SENDCo and other staff to develop effective ways of bridging barriers to learning.
