What skills and experience we're looking for
Shipston-on-Stour Primary School, part of The Stour Federation, is looking for an excellent, teacher to lead provision for SEND across our school, including working closely with staff in our Specialist Resource Provision, The Dovecote. We would be keen to hear about your professional experience and what you can offer. We are looking for an inspiring and professionally thoughtful candidate who must be able to use a range of pedagogical techniques and appropriate strategies to meet the needs of all children. You must enjoy working as part of a supportive team who care for each other, our children and our whole community. The position is part-time and involves working closely with our Trust SENDCo and SEN staff across our Trust to share knowledge and support.
To be the successful candidate, you will need to have good experience of working in school, have an excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and be both creative and passionate about learning. You must have high expectations for children's outcomes. You will either hold a National SEND qualification or demonstrate a commitment to achieve this within 3 years.
The successful candidate must hold QTS status with a proven track record of delivering high quality classroom teaching, demonstrating strong use of adaptive teaching and effective SEND support. You must be passionate about providing effective support for all children. You should have experience of day-to-day leadership of staff to impact positively on outcomes for all children and should and a knowledge of the current SEND landscape with an ability to work effectively with a range of professionals.
