SENDCo job summary

We are seeking to appoint a passionate and knowledgeable SENDCo to join our happy, inclusive school community. This is a full-time role (32.5 hours, 5 days per week, Term time only), with the potential for a one-day teaching commitment.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be committed to inclusion and ensuring that every child achieves their full potential
  • Have a strong understanding of responsive teaching, using assessment and precise feedback to identify and address barriers to learning
  • Demonstrate the ability to implement effective “keep up” and intervention strategies, ensuring pupils with SEND make strong progress
  • Promote high expectations for learning and behaviour, supporting staff in consistent, supportive approaches to correction and guidance
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies to secure the best outcomes for pupils
  • Lead and develop high-quality provision for pupils with SEND across the school
