We are looking to offer the opportunity for an experienced Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) professional to join the Stanground Academy.

The Role:
An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen for a confident and dedicated SEND specialist to play a pivotal role leading, developing and supporting practice for pupils with SEND in our Academy.

The successful SENDCo will ensure access to the curriculum for all pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities within the academy and will be responsible for the effective co-ordination and identification of need, appropriate intervention and mentoring. You will also monitor and evaluate the impact of the interventions for all pupils requiring additional support. We are looking for someone who:
• Has a sound understanding of SEN and is confident to support CPD across the academy
• Is passionate about children’s learning and development;
• Has a willingness to experiment with, and develop, new strategies in curriculum and assessment;
• Possesses the ability to motivate, lead and inspire colleagues;
• Has high aspirations for all children and a desire to raise standards;
• Has high aspirations for themselves and a commitment to further development.

About us:

The £23 million state-of-the-art building boasts facilities which are arguably some of the best in the county including fully-equipped specialist rooms, a dance studio, theatre and high tech ICT equipment.

In Return:
The academy is part of the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT) which has a proven track record in school improvement.
