We are excited to offer an opportunity for a new SENDCo to join our exceptional school to lead on SEND and inclusion. This is an exciting time to join our team and deliver a vision for outstanding provision which will ensure that all pupils with additional needs make accelerated progress in their learning and achieve to the very best of their ability.

The Heights Primary School is a two form entry school, situated in Caversham Heights, Reading. We want the very best for every child in our school and as staff we work hard to ensure our children are happy and safe, so they ‘Learn, Enjoy and Succeed’ every day. Our pupils’ behaviour and welfare is exemplary, our curriculum offer is outstanding and our academic outcomes are consistently well above national average.

We are looking for a SEND Champion who:

  • Believes that all children deserve the best regardless of their need/s

  • Puts the children and inclusion at the heart of everything they do

  • Is looking to learn new skills and knowledge to directly impact upon the lives of children and families

  • Is resilient, organised and has a positive ‘can do’ attitude

  • Is an excellent communicator and able to work with a wide range of people

  • Is adaptable and will be excited by the opportunities for collaboration within a Primary MAT

  • Contributes in the wider life of the school and local community
