What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint an ambitious and skilled SENDCO to lead our Learning Plus department supporting our Leader of Inclusion and Strategic SENDCO, Victoria Hopkinson. The successful candidate will be someone with the drive and passion to further develop our SEND strategy and will ensure high quality provision for students with additional special educational needs, through clear and positive leadership, excellent organisation and highly effective communication. This is a unique opportunity to drive SEND strategy, implement creative interventions, and benefit from amazing professional development that supports career growth.
We are seeking applications from candidates who:
Demonstrate significant experience of working in a leadership role, preferably with strong involvement in SEND;
Exhibit a good understanding of current SEND legislation, policy and practice, including a range of SEND needs and interventions and strategies for supporting children and young people with SEND;
Can lead a team collaboratively, demonstrating strong leadership and management skills;
Are passionate about inclusivity;
Are able to build strong relationships with staff, children and parents/carers;
Have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills;
Demonstrate high aspirations for students and themselves.
