What skills and experience we're looking for
•To collaborate and work interchangeably with the other Senior Administrators on key tasks ensuring flexibility with working patterns and workload management. Adapt effectively during periods of high workload to maintain productivity and efficiency.
•In conjunction with the Principal coordinate admissions into the Sixth Form and prepare for appeals as necessary.
•Serve as the main point of contact for prospective applicants, providing advice, promotion, and support.
•Managing the enrolment process, including verifying student information, processing applications, and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
•Providing support to students, addressing any concerns or issues they may have during the enrolment period.
•Organising and managing enrolment-related events such as open days, taster sessions, and orientation programs and alumni events.
•Assisting in the creation and maintenance of student timetables alongside the timetabler, including the manual addition of private study and tutor periods, ensuring accuracy and compliance with funding requirements, and supporting the timetable during peak periods of course changes and timetable adjustments.
• Provide effective administration for student transition, including preparing communications and gathering all information related to transition and induction.
•Support the Administration and Operating Manager to compile, maintain and ensure the accuracy of statistical information as required by the DfE in the School Census.
•Support the Administration and Operating Manager to keep abreast of changes to the funding formula to ensure that funding is maximised for the Academy.
•Reviewing and verifying students' eligibility for bursary payments based on criteria set by the Academy.
•Assisting students with the completion and submission of bursary application forms, ensuring all required documentation is provided.
•Coordinating the disbursement of bursary funds to eligible students, ensuring payments are made accurately and on time.
•Maintaining detailed records of bursary applications, eligibility assessments, and payment transactions.
•Informing students and parents about the bursary scheme, including eligibility criteria, application deadlines, and payment schedules
•Providing ongoing support to students regarding their bursary applications and addressing any queries or issues that arise.
•Contribute to the planning, development and organisation of administrative systems and procedures.
•Support the accurate recording of student attendance, conducting first-day absence calls/texts and log information effectively.
•Maintain daily communication with Sixth Form team members and other teaching staff regarding attendance issues.
•To undertake a comprehensive range of administration tasks, ensuring that work is prioritised and deadlines are met;
•Support the provision of a comprehensive reception service as required, including greeting visitors to the Academy and ensuring relevant safeguarding checks are made, including receiving parents and students, dealing with general enquiries face to face or by telephone; taking messages or referring matters to the appropriate person;
•Enter and retrieve data related to students on the MIS database and other software packages as required.
•Assist with student welfare duties, dealing with sick students, liaising with parents/carers, and resolving complex student matters.
•Undertaking any other duties, which may reasonably be regarded as within the nature of the duties and responsibilities / grade of the post.
•Provide first aid assistance to staff, students and visitors as and when necessary;
•Ensure all telephone and personal enquiries are dealt with efficiently and effectively in a way which promotes a positive image of the Academy.
•The specific responsibilities are not exhaustive and are subject to change. Alternative duties commensurate with the level of the post may be allocated according to need
