Senior Behaviour Support Mentor job summary

Longspee Primary is a specialist provision for young people KS1-2 with Autism and SEMH, with the majority of our current pupils having their main need in the area of Autism. We offer a rich and high-quality learning experience for our pupils, with a relentless and positive focus upon Happy, Safe, Progress. We are looking to employ an enthusiastic, skilled and experienced Senior Behaviour Support Mentor to support vulnerable learners.

As a person, to thrive in this role you will be happily resourceful and creative, highly resilient and able to work well as a member of a successful team.

The role would also be suitable for an aspirant teacher and/or a candidate with an interest or strength in PE/Sports/Music/Art and/or another subject.

You will also be able to relate well with (and understand) others, demonstrating highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, and have a good sense of positive humour. In addition, you will be able to show the understanding that success at Longspee Primary is achieved by developing the excellence and independence of others. If you have experience, skills, interests, or an area of knowledge that you will inspire others with, then we would love to work with your enthusiasm in this area to support our vulnerable learners.
