Senior Child Supervisory Support Officer - Lunchtime & Afterschool club job summary

Our Multi-Academy Trust is a group of inspirational and aspirational mainstream and specialist schools in Yorkshire whose main objective is to ensure that all pupils make exceptional progress through the development of outstanding staff. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Child Supervisory Support Officer to support and manage our pupils during lunchtime provision, as well as to help develop our new and expanding afterschool club based at Mountbatten Primary School.

The successful candidate will assist the team in the delivery of creative and appropriate play opportunities and provide general care to promote the welfare of our pupils.

We are looking for someone that can demonstrate a passion and commitment to provide a quality childcare service and have the ability to plan and manage play activities to motivate and inspire others. This post is fixed term initially until March 2026.

27.75 hours per week - Term time only (190 days).

Required hours: Lunchtime 11am - 2pm daily & Afterschool club 3.30-5.45pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 2-5.45pm Thursdays.

General overview of duties:

  • Safeguard pupils in every interaction including a pro-active approach to Health and Safety.
  • Manage and lead a small team of Child Supervisory Support Officers
  • Assist with the planning, organising and management of events for both lunchtimes and afterschool
  • To supervise, interact and engage with all pupils through play, fun and rewards
