What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Teaching Year 7-11 pupils with a range of special educational needs

  • Supporting and identifying pupils with physical, emotional, behavioural or learning difficulties

  • Strategic planning processes including leading change, creativity and innovation

  • Having a good understanding of 11-18 curriculum issues and planning

  • Managing staff well; seeing the relationship between CPD and sustained improvement

  • Working closely with teaching staff to ensure best provision for SEN pupils

  • Communicating a vision and inspiring others

  • Building effective working relationships

  • Managing change effectively

  • Liaising with parents and carers
