A rare opportunity to shape lives, lead a dedicated team and influence the strategic direction of a thriving academy.
At Ormiston Sandwell Community Academy, safeguarding is at the very heart of everything we do. As our current long-serving postholder prepares to move on, we are seeking an exceptional leader to join team OSCA and play a pivotal role in our next chapter of success.
This is far more than a safeguarding role. It is an opportunity to become a key member of the Academy's Senior Leadership Team, helping to shape strategic decisions, influence whole-school improvement and ensure every child receives the care, support and opportunities they deserve.
As Senior Leader for Safeguarding & DSL, you will lead a highly committed safeguarding and inclusion team, driving a culture where students feel safe, valued and empowered to succeed. You will champion vulnerable learners, work alongside senior colleagues across the academy, and develop systems that ensure outstanding outcomes for all students.
About the role
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will:
- Lead and develop the academy's safeguarding strategy and culture.
- Act as the Senior Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding practice.
- Provide inspirational leadership to the safeguarding and inclusion team.
- Drive the academy's inclusion agenda, ensuring vulnerable students receive exceptional support.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is passionate about transforming the lives of young people.
- Has a proven track record of successful safeguarding leadership.
- Is an outstanding communicator who can build strong relationships with students, families and professionals.
- Can lead, motivate and inspire a team to achieve excellence
