Senior Leader with Responsibility for SENCO job summary
The opportunity has arisen for the recruitment of a Senior Leader with responsibility for SENCO to join our fantastic staff team.
To be successful you will:
• Have experience of the role of SENCO and will have gained or be working towards SENCO.
• Have a good working knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice.
• Have experience of teaching both vulnerable children and children with SEND and be able to demonstrate positive outcomes for these children.
• Have experience of working with and supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs.
• Demonstrate high expectations and aspiration for all learners.
• Work with the School Business Manager to ensure funding for each pupil meets needs.
• Attend and engage in statutory processes training from the local authority.
• Lead on moderation of banding.
• Collate appropriate evidence to demonstrate change of need where relevant.
