Senior Learning Support Assistant (LSA) job summary

We are looking for a highly skilled, dedicated and enthusiastic Senior Learning Support Assistant to join our team at The Woodside Primary Academy . You need to be committed to providing children with exceptional learning opportunities in a fun and caring environment, committed to teamwork, have a can-do attitude with a good sense of humour and be prepared to go that extra mile.

Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) are an important valued member of the teaching team. As well as working directly with the children’s teacher, the LSA is encouraged to use his/her own initiative and skills to enhance the quality of teaching and learning for the children .

We are looking for a candidate with enthusiasm and passion for providing the best outcome for all pupils, who:

  • Has experience of leading a team

  • has consistently high expectations 

  • nurtures a thirst for knowledge and understanding and a love of learning in all pupils 

  • is committed to raising standards and achieving excellence for all
