    • About the Role

      Astrea Woodfields Academy is seeking a committed and experienced Senior Pastoral Leader to join our dedicated team. This is a pivotal role focused on leading the pastoral provision across the school, ensuring that every student is supported to feel safe, valued, and ready to learn.

      You will work closely with students, families, and staff to promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and attendance, while leading a team of pastoral staff to deliver high-quality care and support. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives and driving a culture of inclusion and aspiration.

      Key Responsibilities
      • Lead and oversee the school’s pastoral systems and provision.
      • Support and manage behaviour, attendance, and safeguarding processes.
      • Act as a key contact for students and families, building strong relationships and trust.
      • Monitor and analyse pastoral data to inform targeted interventions.
      • Line manage pastoral staff and contribute to their development.
      • Promote the school’s values and ethos across all aspects of student life.
      • Collaborate with senior leaders to shape and implement pastoral policies and strategies.
      • Be a visible and active presence throughout the school day and at key events.
