Senior Science Technician job summary

We are looking to appoint a Senior Science Technician to join our outstanding Science Faculty. The ideal candidate will be practical, flexible, resourceful and able to work to tight deadlines. This role is a shared responsibility with another member of staff. The core responsibilities for this role are to assist the Director of Learning: Science in managing the technician team in order to facilitate the provision, preparation and clearing of resources for practical activities within the Science Faculty, having due regard to safe practice and risk assessments.

The successful candidate will:

  • have experience in working in a laboratory or similar field, preferably in a school environment but not essential
  • have excellent attention to detail
  • have the ability to work well within a team
  • promote Sandringham’s ethos and values

We also welcome applications from candidates who may not yet meet the requirements for the Senior Science Technician role but are interested in a Science Technician position. For suitable applicants, we can offer a Science Technician role (H3/H4 pro rata, depending on skills and experience), with training provided.
