The Bishop’s Stortford High School are seeking to recruit a Senior Science Technician to manage a team of technicians in the science department and provide technical support service to staff and students undertaking the science curriculum.
The successful candidate will join the school’s highly ambitious, vibrant and high performing department working and collaborating with an exceptionally dedicated and talented team of practitioners to help support the staff in their role of instilling a love of Science in all students.
What we are looking for:
An individual who is able to develop and maintain effective working systems for the science technician team
A reliable and hard-working team member
A well-organised, proactive individual with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Excellent time management for the preparation and organisation of equipment for lessons and identifying work priorities
Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures
A-Level or NVQ3 in Laboratory and Associated Technical Activities (LATA) or equivalent
Someone who works well with staff and students alike
An enthusiastic individual who is keen to make a difference to the lives of young people
Experience of line management would be advantageous but not essential
