Senior Science Technician job summary

Senior Science Technician required at The St Leonards Academy

Do you have an interest in Science and would like to make a difference to students?  An exciting opportunity has arisen at The St Leonards Academy for a Senior Science Technician to work 37 hours per week, term time only plus one week.  The salary would therefore be pro-rata (£18,419.89 to £18,999.95)   The role involves leading a small team of Science Technicians, allocating their duties and also includes:-

-Co-ordinating the use of practical resources and facilities
-Providing technical support regarding the practical needs of the Science curriculum
-Taking responsibility for health and safety within the Science faculty

The right candidate should have a good general education, as well as an understanding of the learning and support needs of young people.  An understanding of health and safety and COSHH relating to Science would be of benefit.
