Senior Site Supervisor job summary

St Joseph’s College is looking to appoint an experienced, proactive and highly reliable Senior Site Supervisor to join our Estates and Maintenance Team. This is a key role in supporting the effective day-to-day operation of the College and ensuring that our pupils, staff and visitors have a safe, secure and welcoming environment.

The post is full time, working 37 hours per week, on a permanent 52-week contract. The successful candidate will have responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of the caretaking team and will work closely with the Trust Estates Lead and Headteacher to ensure the College estate is maintained to a high standard.

You will be responsible for coordinating planned and reactive maintenance, supporting health and safety and compliance requirements, overseeing site security and key-holding arrangements, and liaising with contractors to ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard. You will also support grounds maintenance, deliveries, events, internal moves and other day-to-day site requirements across the College's main site and satellite sites.

The successful candidate will have strong practical and technical knowledge, experience of supervising staff and the ability to organise and prioritise a varied workload. You will be someone who takes ownership of issues, uses initiative, works well under pressure and is confident dealing with contractors, colleagues and other members of the school community.
