What skills and experience we're looking for

At Grimes Dyke we are looking for a passionate class teacher to take on a senior teacher role and deliver high quality learning while successfully nurturing and inspiring our students. The successful candidate will be responsible for leadership of maths in school. As part of our energetic and welcoming team, you will enthuse and motivate students to strive for success while maintaining a healthy learning environment for all children within the school.

  • A detailed knowledge of the curriculum and its means of delivery, this is especially important for maths.
  • High standards of communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work as a team.
  • The ability to work towards deadlines.
  • The ability to motivate both students and your peers.
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Experience innovating to deliver the curriculum
  • Experience of leading and managing a subject with a proven track record
  • Experience of supporting colleagues to improve their practice in maths teaching.
