“Spalding Primary Academy is a friendly, nurturing and welcoming school. Pupils are happy and kept safe. One pupil, typical of many, said, ‘Our school is like a big family.’ “ Ofsted February 2024
An exciting opportunity has arisen in our large and successful, family centred school, for a motivated, committed, and enthusiastic Senior Teacher to join our dynamic and friendly team. We are looking for someone who enjoys working within a diverse community and thrives on the challenge of shaping and leading school improvement so that every child, regardless of need, has the opportunity to flourish.
We have a higher than average number of children on the SEND register and a higher than average number of children who have an EHCP. We have high learning expectations for all children and, despite being a large school, we recognise our children as individuals.
So, we are looking for someone with energy, someone who cares, someone who can work as part of a team but who can problem solve and make decisions. We want someone who believes in, and is passionate about, making a difference to all children, someone who wants to take their first steps into school leadership and has a commitment to continual school improvement.
We offer an exciting environment, a dynamic and forward looking and supportive leadership team. Professional support and wide range of interesting professional development opportunities are available through our Infinity Academies Trust network.
The successful applicant will:
Contribute to strategic and operational decision making to drive school improvement.
Have a proven track record as an excellent class teacher.
Support the Executive Headteacher, Head of School, Assistant Headteacher and SENDCo in monitoring, evaluating and developing aspects of our school improvement.
Visits to our school are strongly encouraged. If you would like an informal discussion prior to submitting your application, please contact Andrew Raistrick, Executive Headteacher via the school office in the first instance. (Tel: 01775 769445)

We are a two form entry school serving the Spalding community; our school is a microcosm of the community we serve. We believe that every child has the right to learn in the highest quality learning environment. We promote learning that inspires and develops children's curiosity through our broad curriculum. We want our children to be literate and numerate but we also want them to develop a love and interest in a range of subjects.
Every child in our school knows they are valued, knows they have a voice and know that voice will be heard. We have high aspirations and expectations for every child and all we ask in return is that every child gives their best with an open and inquisitive mind.
