Senior Teacher with responsibility for leadership of English. job summary
Sutton Bonington Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed teacher to work as part of our senior leadership team and to lead English across our school. We are a one form entry primary school situated in the beautiful village of Sutton Bonington. We can offer a committed and friendly staff team, happy children and supportive and engaged parents. It is an exciting time for us as we have recently joined Equals Trust and so you will be well supported in your role both within the school and through the trust’s excellent CPD programme and school improvement team. We are also half-way through our rebuild project and expect to move into our brand-new purpose-built school building in January 2026.
As part of the senior leadership team, you will support with the day to day running of the school, especially within Key Stage 2. You will also be responsible for leading the ongoing development of our provision for the teaching of English across the school. We are looking for someone who has high expectations of themself, the children that they teach and of colleagues that they work with. We are looking for an excellent teacher who has a solid understanding of what outstanding teaching and learning looks like and someone who is passionate about ensuring the best opportunities for children.
