Senior Teaching Assistant (Inclusion) job summary

St Mark’s CofE School is a mainstream Church of England Junior School for pupils aged 7-11 years. At St Mark’s we see ourselves as a family that nurtures and includes all who come through our doors. We are in search of 2 Senior Teaching Assistants who will:

  • provide tailored support (individuals and groups of) to pupils to enable them to gain, learn from, develop and maintain their work and living skills
  • provide advice and guidance to colleagues on using the Thrive approach and supporting children with SEMH needs.
  • provide targeted support for pupils with SEMH and trauma, supporting a child’s mental health and wellbeing
  • support all pupils to access the curriculum and promote progress and achievement
  • provide class cover as required

    Hours: 31 per week, Term time only

    Experience: You can join us as an entry level Support Assistant or an experienced Teaching Assistant. Please see the attached Job Descriptions for full details of the responsibilities and expectations of these roles.
