About this Role

This is an exciting time to join us in the next phase in the development of our multi-academy trust. This new role reports into the Chief Financial Officer, working closely with the school business managers and the Trust’s senior and executive leaders.

We are looking to appoint an ambitious accounting professional who is technically proficient on all aspects of producing monthly management accounts. You will be familiar with Access Education, or school sector recognised software, for internal financial controls. In addition, you would support the CFO to ensure that the Trust complies with the requirements of the Academies Trust Handbook and the ESFA. You will be required to visiting and working from various school sites so will need access to transport.

The successful candidate is required to have:

· A recognized Accountant qualification or equivalent (or working towards this qualification)

· Hold a recognized Business Degree or equivalent to Level 6 (CIPFA/AAT)

· Experience in undertaking budget monitoring process and preparing management accounts

· High level of completer literacy, especially in MS

· Experience in undertaking service and financial planning processes including budget setting

· High competent level of communication

· Ability to confidently work professionally within a team and independently using your own initiative and judgement

· Manage workload to meet deadlines, multitask and prioritize projects and tasks

· Confident in providing support, advice, and training to colleagues
