Site Agent job summary
About the role
Due to the retirement of our long serving Site Agent, we are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic, self-motivated, reliable and well organised person to join us, as our Site Agent.
Duties will include security of the buildings and site, including Health and Safety compliance, non-specialist maintenance and repairs, grounds work, managing contractors, supervising the work of cleaning staff and general porterage.
Previous caretaking experience is preferable and a high level of technical ability in routine maintenance/handy-person skills and some flexibility in hours is essential. You will be line managed by the Business Manager however much of the job will involve working independently.
The successful candidate will:
- Be honest, reliable and hardworking and able to work using their own initiative
- Have good DIY and premises skills and be able to carry out minor repairs and jobs competently
- Have the ability and confidence to supervise and monitor the work of cleaning staff
- Be willing to attend relevant courses to develop their expertise
- Be committed to achieving high standards in their work
- Be flexible and cheerful and enjoy working with children, parents, governors and staff
- Be a good team player and willing to become involved in all aspects of school life.

This is a permanent role, 35 hours a week. Suggested working hours are 7am - 11am and then 3:45pm - 6:45pm, however this working pattern is negotiable. Additional hours/overtime may be required at certain times of the year and for certain school events; this will be paid in addition to the annual salary.
Additional information:
