Site Assistant job summary
Site Assistant
We are very excited to be recruiting for a Site Assistant to join our established and experienced Site Team. The main function of the role is to maintain the School site which includes contributing to whole site Health and Safety, maintenance and repairs, day to day general duties, decoration, security and more.
The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys practical/physical work and be able to work independently and as part of a team. They will need to be enthusiastic, hardworking and either have experienced practical skills or be willing to learn new skills. Experience with plumbing would be advantageous.
This position is full time, 52 weeks per year. You will be entitled to 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays. The shift pattern varies but will generally swap between our ‘middle’ shift 9am-5pm or our late shift, the timings of which depend on the day but finish time varies between 8pm and 10pm. You may also be required to complete an early shift which is 8am – 4pm. The site is closed on bank holidays and between Christmas and New Year’s.
Essential experience:
Awareness of Health & Safety in the workplace.
Basic maintenance skills.
Understanding of safeguarding children.
Desirable experience;
Plumbing experience.
Painting/decorating experience.
Keyholding/security experience.
Fire/risk management experience.
