Geoffrey Field Infant and Junior Schools are well established schools at the heart of the local community in South Reading. The schools are part of the extremely successful Whitley Excellence Cluster.
We are seeking an experienced, flexible and well organised Site Controller to work across both schools. If you believe children have the right to learn in a clean, safe and well maintained environment, we would welcome your application.
The Role:
• You will work in a team of two alongside our existing Site Controller and will be responsible for the day to day maintenance, security, facilities management and ongoing improvement of both the Infant and Junior School sites.
• Working hours: Monday to Friday between 7:00am and 6:30pm (start and finish times to be discussed during the interview process and will not exceed daily allocation).
• From time to time, you may be asked to vary your working hours to meet the operational needs of the school, such as during school holidays or weekends for site works. A flexible approach is therefore essential.
What the school offers its staff
The schools offer you:
• friendly and enthusiastic pupils who are polite and well behaved
• a supportive and varied working environment
• inspirational leadership and fantastic staff
• extensive and attractive grounds with excellent outdoor provision
You will offer the schools:
• commitment to pupil welfare and the wider school community
• skills in DIY and property maintenance, working indoors and outdoors
• knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and the ability to apply this in a school environment
• energy, proactivity and a collaborative approach
Visits to the schools are considered essential for this post prior to application. Applications will be reviewed upon receipt.
