Site Manager

Salary: Grade G, SCP 20–25 (£31,022 – £34,434)

Contract: Full-time, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Start Date: 1st September 2025

Closing Date: 21st July 2025


We’re looking for a motivated and capable Site Manager to join Chantry Academy and take charge of maintaining a safe, clean, and high-functioning environment for our students, staff, and community.

Chantry Academy is a thriving and ambitious academy, rated 'Good' by Ofsted, and enjoys strong support from our local community, parents, and carers. In September 2024, we will be oversubscribed for the eighth consecutive year, a testament to our reputation as the first-choice academy in the area.


🔧 Your Day-to-Day Will Include:
  • Overseeing cleaning, maintenance, repairs, and compliance checks across the site.

  • Leading premises staff and contractors to deliver high standards of work.

  • Managing site budgets, resources, and keyholder duties.

  • Carrying out regular health & safety inspections, risk assessments, and accident reporting.

  • Supporting capital projects and working closely with our Trust estates team.

  • Monitoring energy use and championing sustainability across the school.

  • Ensuring records and procedures are up to date and compliant with legislation.

  • Liaising with suppliers and contractors to ensure quality service and value for money.

  • Has hands-on experience in premises or facilities management.

  • Can confidently manage health & safety processes and building compliance.

  • Has strong leadership and communication skills to manage staff and external contractors.

  • Is proactive, organised, and solutions-focused.

  • Takes pride in their work and supports the ethos of a safe, inclusive school.
