Join our academy team as a Site Officer, providing comprehensive operational support across The Kingfisher. You’ll oversee site security, lighting and heating systems, cleaning, general maintenance, plant and equipment, porterage and handyperson duties, helping to maintain a safe, welcoming and well-functioning environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Complete statutory and routine testing as and when required to manufacturers’ standards ensuring record keeping is up to date using appropriate computer software, including boilers, sprinklers, fire alarms, emergency lighting, etc.
- Maintain a high level of security across academy premises including dealing with alarm systems and liaising with security services.
- Install, maintain or repair jobs of a minor nature such as plumbing (eg leaky taps), joinery (e.g boarding up broken windows), painting/decorating, plastering, electrical work (e.g replace faulty lights).
- Identify and report any repairs, maintenance or replacements that require action.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Maths & English GCSE or equivalent or willing to work towards
- Relevant maintenance/trade qualification or willingness to work towards
- IOSH or recognised equivalent Health and Safety qualification
- Experience of a range of caretaking and cleaning duties
