Site Officer job summary
Oakdale is a popular school with a good reputation locally. Our school expanded in 2019 and we have moved from a one form to two form entry. This expansion means that we have a beautiful environment in which to work and teach. To help maintain this, we are looking for an energetic, hardworking and enthusiastic person, who has a range of practical skills, to join our successful school team and undertake duties that will keep our site safe, clean and healthy.
The successful candidate will work with us to provide a great environment for our children, staff and visitors by being friendly and approachable and maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the site. The ability to form good working relationships with adults and children, together with some IT knowledge and the ability to learn about systems related to the running and organisation of the school, such as Fire and security systems, plant room equipment etc are key for this role.
You will:
Be flexible in your approach to working
Have a good understanding of Health and Safety procedures/compliance
Be self-motivated, trust worthy and proactive
Work effectively and supportively as a member of a team and also have the confidence and ability to act on your own initiative, dealing with unexpected problems that may arise
Have a positive outlook and a good work ethic, taking pride in your work
Have good communication skills
Have a facilities background and/or had previous experience of working in a school environment

Hours of work:
We may be able to offer some flexibility on timings which can be discussed at interview, however our suggested timings would be one of the options below:
Mon - Fri: 07.00 - 09.45 and 14.00 - 18.30pm. Total: 36 Hrs 15 mins per week
OR
Mon: 07.00 to 4.15pm and Tues to Fri: 10.00am to 6.30pm Total: 37 Hours per week
