What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Relevant level 2 certificate in Property, Caretaking or Facilities services, Apprenticeship or other
  • Evidence of further professional development
  • Working in a school environment
  • Cleaning and maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of operational cleaning procedures
  • Awareness of Health & Safety, COSHH, Fire regulations and risk assessments relating to the welfare of business users
  • Competent ‘handy-person’ jobs such as painting and DIY
  • Positive and flexible attitude
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative
  • Seeks solutions to problems
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Evidence of an appreciation of establishing and developing positive relationships with parents and the local community
  • Committed to own continuing professional development
  • Demonstrates an understanding that at all times the best interests of the children must be promoted

What the school offers its staff

We are looking for someone with a desire to serve a school community with a positive approach and ambition to develop an outstanding community facility. Candidates should have some experience of premises management but equally important is a desire to learn and grow into the role alongside our fantastic existing Site Manager. Candidates will have a flexible approach and attitude, and be self-motivated to manage their own workload whilst being comfortable with taking instruction. The role will include key holder responsibilities.
