Site Operations Manager job summary

Under the strategic leadership of the Headteacher and guidance/support of the Estates Hub Lead, the site operations Manager will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Premises Management: Oversee site security, maintenance schedules, health and safety compliance and emergency response protocols
  • Leadership: Manage and support the site team, ensuring effective work allocation and cover during staff absences
  • Contractor Liaison: Supervise and monitor external contractors, ensuring adherence to health, safety and safeguarding policies
  • Health & Safety: Be the main Fire Coordinator and with the cooperation of the fire service, be responsible for the installation and maintenance of equipment including CCTV
  • Budget Support: To have oversight for utilities and budget responsibility for grounds, premises , health and safety, furniture and maintenance
  • Statutory Obligations: Ensure that the school remains compliant in terms of SENCO, and health and safety

We are looking for someone with experience within facilities management, site operations or a similar role. You will have a good knowledge of health and safety practices, including manual handling, COSHH and fire safety protocol. You will be a competent IT user with good literacy and numeracy skills and be able to prioritise workloads in order to meet deadlines.
