Site Operative (Caretaker) job summary

Are you someone who enjoys practical work and takes pride in a job well done?

We're looking for a friendly, reliable, and proactive Site Operative to join our team at Bourne Abbey CofE Primary Academy. As one of the largest schools in the Trust, Bourne Abbey offers a varied and rewarding role where every day is different.

From carrying out repairs and maintaining our grounds to supporting school events and helping keep our site safe and welcoming, you'll play an important part in the daily life of our school.

What you will be doing

- Keeping the school safe, secure, and well maintained.
- Carrying out day-to-day repairs and maintenance.
- Maintaining our buildings and grounds.
- Supporting contractors and visitors on site.
- Opening and closing the school premises.
- Helping create a positive environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Bourne Abbey C of E Primary Academy, part of Abbey Academies Trust, is a three-form entry Church Academy situated in South Lincolnshire. The other schools in our Trust are Bourne Elsea Park C of E Primary Academy and Colsterworth C of E Primary School. The school was judged to be ‘Good’ by Ofsted in July 2021 and was awarded an ‘Excellent’ SIAMS judgement in May 2023.
