We are a Complex Needs School of 197 pupils, with moderate, severe or profound learning difficulties between the ages of 3 to 19. All pupils have different learning needs; they learn best when they are happy and excited about learning.
We are looking for a multi skilled individual to join our site team to undertake a wide variety of maintenance work to help our Site Managers and the Site Team to keep our School in good order; carrying out grounds and general maintenance and repairs. To provide support in the area of Health and Safety, administrating risk assessments and policy compliance under the direction of the Site Manager.
Your primary role will be the maintenance, inspection and repair of our grounds and building fabric. In the summer months you will spend most of your time maintaining the grounds and in the winter you will be undertaking corrective and preventative maintenance to the building including painting and decorating to a high standard.
You will need to work closely and effectively with the site and admin team and some aspects of your role may include repair and creative practical design to support our classes and pupils with direction from the Site Manager.
You need to have energy, drive and work diligently with a degree of independence and a good eye for detail to ensure the school site remains well ordered, safe and in immaculate condition.
You will need to be a team player, calm, patient, have an eye for detail, a good working knowledge of ICT and develop an understanding of all aspects of grounds and site maintenance. You will be working closely with your site team; full training, induction and mentoring will be offered.
You need to have relevant experience and/or qualifications as highlighted in the job description. Full Driving Licence is required. The school runs a comprehensive programme of professional development. 25 days holiday per year.

Chapel Green is a Complex Needs School for pupils with moderate, severe, and profound learning difficulties between the ages of 3 and 19. All pupils have multiple and complex needs. All pupils have a significant learning need.
