Site Supervisor job summary

Carmel College is looking to appoint a Site Supervisor. As a Site Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the school premises are safe, secure, clean, and well-maintained for pupils, staff, and visitors. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, dependable, and committed to supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the school environment.

You will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and cleanliness of the school buildings and grounds, carrying out minor repairs, supervising cleaning staff, and ensuring that health and safety standards are consistently met. Your duties may also include managing site security, setting up for school events, monitoring contractors, and responding to urgent maintenance issues.

Working closely with school leadership, you’ll help ensure the premises are fit for purpose and contribute to a positive learning environment. You’ll also be expected to follow safeguarding procedures and maintain accurate records related to site operations.

This is a practical and rewarding role that requires initiative, attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility.
