What skills and experience we're looking for
The overall purpose of the post is to:
- Monitor and maintain the school site in accordance with the school’s operating policies and procedures
- Carry out a wider range of duties and responsibilities connected with the fabric and grounds of the school – to include Health & Safety, security, cleanliness, porterage, routine maintenance, refurbishment and minor repair
The successful candidate will need to have the following:
- Good communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing and conflicting demands
- Ability to be flexible and work as a part of team
- Ability to understand and apply regulations such as Health & Safety, Asbestos, Legionella, COSHH, Manual Handling etc
- Have competence at basic building repairs and maintenance
- Attention to detail

About this Role
The role of the Site Supervisor will be to provide support regarding Health & Safety compliance, preventative maintenance and general building repairs and be responsible for opening and closing of the school building. This includes:
- Security
- Cleanliness
- Porterage
- Monitoring contracts/contractors
- Routine maintenance and refurbishment
Minor repairs
- Advising the Business Manager/Headteacher on suggested improvements to the general school environment
- Carry out pre-planned maintenance programmes
- Complete cycle of health and safety checks, completing records
- Undertake training to keep up-to-date with current health and safety guidance

We are an infant school in Brackley that is a standalone academy. All teachers are passionate and specialists in early years education. We have two classes in each year group with a large school hall. The EYFS area has its own outside area which can be accessed at all times. The school has a well resourced Forest school which is used throughout the week. We are a close working team where being a team player is essential.
