A key part of your role will be supervising students in our sixth form study centre ensuring that students work silently and purposefully, whilst liaising with curriculum leaders and subject teachers to access additional study materials where necessary or to seek clarification on activities that have been set. You will be implementing relevant interventions as per the Sixth Form policy in order for students to overcome barriers to learning and utilising available resources as necessary.
You will demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence, being able to operate as a supportive mentor whilst also helping to ensure that students meet our high expectations. As part of this there will need to be strong relationships built with the families to ensure the student is fully supported.
There will be essential administrative duties to support the 6th Form team and the Attendance Officer. Effective and proactive communication is needed with students and their parents.
