We are looking for a teacher to join an experienced and enthusiastic team.

St John’s Catholic Specialist School is a school for young people up to 19 years with special educational needs. Our mission is to support our students to gain the knowledge and skills they will need to thrive in adult life.

Every day is different and staff work with pupils with a range of different needs which include sensory impairments, communication and learning challenges or autism. St John’s is a specialist residential and day school for students up to 19 years old with a range of special needs including hearing impairment, autism, language impairments and learning difficulties. We have a strong focus on developing spoken and written communication skills and signing is not used to deliver the curriculum.

The school prioritises mental health and wellbeing and we have been particularly successful reintegrating pupils who have been out of education for some time.
