Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO), Crocketts Community Primary job summary
We are looking to appoint an experienced, inspirational, highly organised and capable SENCO to join our Senior Leadership Team.
We need someone who is passionate about inclusion and about improving outcomes for children with learning needs. You will share our commitment to ensuring that all of our children are able to access the best provision available. We are looking for someone who has experience of working with Inclusion Support in Sandwell (or the equivalent in other LAs) and who understands the role that external agencies play in assessing and supporting children’s needs.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and enrich our SEND provision within a highly motivated, hard-working and supportive team.
Although we are advertising a full-time post we will consider part-time hours for the right candidate. We can also be flexible with the start date. This position is predominately non-class based.

Crocketts Community Primary is a thriving multi-cultural primary school in the heart of Smethwick. We have high levels of SEND including 12 full time children in our focused provision for children with physical and medical needs.
We are a very hard-working team who are driven to improve the life chances of our children. All staff are trained in trauma and attachment and the successful candidate will be trained to use emotion coaching. Staff are expected to use this approach with all children in order to ensure that children, including those with additional needs, learn to regulate their emotions at all times.
