In
order to grow our provision at Mountbatten we are seeking a second SENCO to work
alongside the current SENCO to lead and manage our very dedicated Learning
Support team in their very attractive, purpose-built Student Services
accommodation. We want this vital provision to become a centre of excellence
for innovative teaching, learning, and extra-curricular enrichment. The
successful candidate will either be a qualified SENCO or would agree to
complete the SENCO qualification with the next two academic years.
The Mountbatten School Learning Support team is committed to helping all students become happy, confident, curious and knowledgeable learners. The work we do is bespoke to the requirements of individuals and designed to maximise personal and academic success.
Our students are a joy to work with and make teaching at The Mountbatten School a pleasurable and rewarding experience.
If appointed, you would join a large team of professionals who continually strive for excellence and improve their practice through professional dialogue, evidence-based pedagogy and a range of CPD opportunities.
You will be required to teach Lower and Upper school students and have excellent inter-personal skills. We are looking for an outstanding classroom practitioner with management experience who is ambitious and passionate about playing a central role in driving up standards.
Working under the direction and leadership of the Deputy Headteacher (Teaching & Learning) and the current SENCO, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of the Learning Support department.
